"There were components of guides that simply would not operate in a movie, such as the internal talk, which went to times extremely tacky. It would not work to say out loud. It was constantly a fight. Constantly."

Johnson declared that James was upset when Charlie Hunnam backed out of having fun Christian Grey in the movie because of scheduling disputes. (He's since said that leaving the project was "the most awful professional experience of my life" and the "most mentally damaging and challenging point that I've ever needed to deal with expertly. ")

Sam Taylor-Johnson guided the first movie, on which Dornan eventually authorized on as the man lead. As Johnson remembered, "We'd do the takes of the movie that Erika wanted to earn, and after that we would certainly do the takes of the movie that we wanted to earn. The evening before, I would certainly reword scenes with the old discussion so I could include a line occasionally. It resembled mayhem constantly."

I was so confused by E.L. James. I do not understand when I can't browse an individual, when there is no harmony.... With the benefit of hindsight would certainly I undergo it again? Of course I would not. I'd be crazy."

"Sam didn't return to direct after the first movie, and, as a women, she had brought a softer point of view. James Foley came on direct, and he's a fascinating guy. It was various doing those bizarre points with a guy behind the video cam. Simply a various power," she said.

"There are points that I still cannot say because I do not want to hurt anyone's profession and I do not want to damage anybody's reputation, but both Jamie and I were treated truly well," included Johnson. "Erika is an extremely nice lady, and she was constantly type to me and I am thankful she wanted me to remain in those movies."
